Busy Sunday morning, great customer service, prompt attention, and great food for the cost. Homemade biscuits are light, fluffy, and large. Garlic marinated fried finger steak was medium rare, scrambled eggs and hash browns were perfectly cooked. The pancake was huge and delicious, just like grandma used to make.
Treasure! Food is abundant and delicious! We stopped here on the way to the airport to fly home. Friendly service and beautiful paintings on the windows!
Other than the extreme noise of a jammed packed place, with a ton of happy, fullfilled folks talking & eating, this place is the Cat's Pajamas!!! Everything is beyond Giant portions & it's all fresher than fresh. Been here a few times & I will keep coming back! By the way, their Biscuits are plate sized & so light & fluffy. I have never, ever, had a bad meal here! One person in our party ordered Lunch, he had a Chili Size with Homefries & the rest of us ordered Breakfast.
This place is the real deal. The service is top notch, their busser is on top of his game every time we have been there. Our coffee literally never runs dry. The food is phenomenal. Always comes out in a timely manner and is always tasty as heck. The absolute best compliment I can give this place is that they absolutely nail over-medium eggs. I always order over-medium eggs and 95% of places just give you an over-easy egg. Go here if you want a great breakfast diner experience.

I’m from out of town and was looking for a decent place to grab some breakfast. After looking through the reviews from several restaurants in the area, I decided to give this place a try. I was NOT disappointed! The food here was delicious, great prices, friendly service and ample parking in their parking lot. The pancakes were literally the size of a dinner plate and thick! They tasted great. The fresh fruit was fantastic and not over-ripe or mushy like some places I’ve been to. The coffee was great as well. They also have lunch items but my experience is limited to the breakfast items. Overall I enjoyed my dining experience and will definitely be back the next time I’m in town. Thank you for providing good quality food with great prices and friendly service! I highly recommend this restaurant.
When I arrived in Eugene I was looking for a nice local family owned restaurant to get breakfast. This was a really great spot. The atmosphere is nice and kind and the staff is even nicer. The portions to this burrito were ridiculous in the best way possible. It was filling and delicious and I managed to chew down half now and half later.

I’ve been coming to GJ’s since about 1992 or 1993 I think. I last visited yesterday for breakfast/lunch and while Gary and Judy have passed on they would be very proud of how their daughter and her team have kept up the amazing restaurant that it was and always has been. Their food is super fresh, insanely fast service, and the coffee is hot and never ending. They don’t make restaurants like this anymore and we lost a lot to Covid but thankfully not GJ’s. I no longer live in Eugene but it’s a must stop for great food. Their prices are what I’d expect to pay about 5-10 years ago. This place is a treasure.
